[Event] - Garena League of Legends Circuit 2013 Grand Finals

Welcome to Summoners Rift mid or feed

In association with Comic Fiesta 2013, Garena decided to host their Legends Circuit 2013 on KL Convention Centre together with Comic Fiesta 2013. It all makes sense as e-sports are closely related to ACG such as cosplay activity.

As a former e-sports competitive player myself, e-sports has been growing steadily in Malaysia, especially League of Legends and its counter part Dota 2 by Valve. With the recently success by Orange e-sports claiming 3rd in The International 3, e-sports has been a quite a huge thing in Malaysia now. Even our Youth Minister are promoting e-sports.

As business point of view, it is a very strategic move. Not only can guaranteed a certain amount of visitors watching the tournament live by pre-selling ticket, also promoting e-sports and League of Legends. At least 40k visitors at least pass by and know what's going on. As a fans point of view, they are giving it free live performance back to the fans which ain't bad.

[Event] - Comic Fiesta 2013 Day 1

YOU SHALL NOT PASS through the crowd even with early bird pass to the event after opening due to bad que-ing setup to the awesome Comic Fiesta 2013.

Is here, the long awaited Comic Fiesta(CF) 2013 on 21/22 December 2013. One of the largest ACG(Anime Comic Game) event in Malaysia. If you still don't know what Cosplay is, despite the wrecking news few weeks ago with the teenager boy rape-fail-killed cosplayer incident ; Cosplay is known as Costume play, an activity where participants dress up to represent a character they adore. It is a sub-pop culture in Japan inception in Akihabara.

As an ACG lover, we can't resist ourself to attend this event. We even got ourself a 'Official Blogger' pass to ease our coverage. Benefit with such pass is we get to access everywhere. As always, we do have responsibility to not abuse the pass. Respect and self behave always come first.

Enough lecturing, lets get started with the event!
Arrive at 8am in the morning
Well we arriving as early as 8am, talking about early bird.
Let me rephrase that.
8am and it is crowded!
Well we arriving as late as 8am, talking about lazy bump. Cosplayers, photopraghers, bloggers, volunteers, crew, even visitors arrive early, que-ing to get the best seat, beat the deals, buy-it-before-gone~
Entrance to go to another entrance
The long que around 9am-ish
Early bird's ticket holder entrance
Non-early bird ticket holder
As past experience with many ACG event, Comic Fiesta is out of the league. We truly can define that CF is one of the largest ACG event in Malaysia, every single year the crowd is just amazing. Speaking last year experience of mine, I can't even enter the event hall due to the huge crowd que-ing for ticket.

I strongly recommend to future visitors for such event, please just buy the Early Bird Ticket, totally worth it. If you can't attend event after purchasing the ticket, you can just sell it to others, many people that live outside the City are drooling for the Early Bird Ticket. So reselling is not a problem.
First Aid prepared for emergency, thoughtful
Online Purchase via MRuncit as CF Official Ticketing partner, also part of the early bird perk

Day 2 Hakyai - Mango

Sawadee!

While everyone is embedded with Hakyai's praying routine, well you are out of luck for my Day 2 literary.

Blame it all on the message we had on Day 1, it was too relax and distress so we woke at a godly hour - 9 in the morning. Well the driver we hired already used of our 'time'. Totally not recommend to woke as late as us as you'll miss all the time for your vacations.

Tai Lei Loi Kei 大利来记 @ Kepong Usahawan

Macau Pork Bun(澳门猪扒包)@ Kepong

Tai Lei Loi Kei is an Fast Food Chain located originally in Hong Kong - Macau. Recently Macau is celebrating 10 years anniversary of their independence back to Hong Kong, China, the famous Macau Pork Bun has been a hype since then as their signature food to celebrate this historical day.
Sign Board of the Resturant
As a fast food chain, this is not fast at all. We arrive at 8.00pm and placed our order. We wanted to try the Pork Bun so badly, we ordered two Signature Pork Chop Bun & Drink @ Rm13.90. I was happily waiting beside the order line to collect our food, however when I realised my order number is 40+ customer behind this number as shown.

They do offer variety of choices such as chicken wings, rice, meat balls and etc. Even dessert @ Rm5 each cup.
Menu & Order Number pannel
As I have tried the original Macau Pork Bun, my expectation was high and looking forward to recall the taste and memories.

Day 1 Hakyai - Hello

Hi, Neighbour!

So this is where the story begin! As soon as I reached Thailand - after hideous 10 hours Skyline Bus from Kepong, me and my friends and bunch came across this Alisan Gold - Bus company.

Upon arrival, we rent the whole bus/minivan alike vehicle to our hotel - cost THB1000, equivalent to Rm100. Surprisingly the Indian-like-driver can talk Cantonese like us. Better use Chinese or Japanese or if you want to talk bad about him from behind, think twice - they are language master just like us.

We even can discuss and schedule our pick up spot, with Cantonese in Thailand, that just plain amazing.
Seat inside the bus is very superior and spacious, they even provide Hello Kitty blanket throughout the journey.
Tuk Tuk Car
So, the name for this truck is Tuk Tuk Car. Mystery Solved!
We always watch Lakorn and saw this unique design mini van. Apparently it is used to transport, just like bus.
I don't even know why it been called as Tuk Tuk Car. It never make any tuk tuk tuk sound ; even the horn is pit pit pit, not tuk tuk tuk, weird.
Initial plan I was going by myself. Because I want to be "Like-A-Boss" . But my friend was too going to the same trip, same locations, same time. (luckily it did not happen, or you will not reading this blog now)

So in the end, I'm going Hakyai with my friend and along with his relatives. Most of them are very good in negotiation, especially our leader, forgotten her name, lets name her, Ms Nego.
Time in Malaysia 9:24am.
Centara Hotel. One of the best hotel in Hakyai, but most people will choose Mayflower Hotel for tight budget.

Day 7 Taiwan - Hipster

What do youngster eat?

Is Taipei! The city of traditions and modern youngsters. As a typical Malaysian, where we are multicultural, we get to choose roti canai, nasi lemak, variety of noodles, western, capati, and much much more. Common Malaysian problem is, we always in headache to choose what type of food we wanted to have since we have so much to choose from. How about in Taiwan where they are less multicultural? We'll see.

But first, in day 7 - we woke as early as 7am and get prepared for your guide-less trip. Pack up the essential, jackets, umbrella, water, camera, etc and lets go!

The huge interlinked subway station of Taipei, it is a hall cum subway stations!
Taiwan subway system is just freaking awesome. May be I have not seen other countries's, but this is an eye opener for us. There's a mall inside which spread around 8-10 stations I think, is so huge that if we miss 1 or 2 stations and walk back via the underground passage, if would take us 30 mins. Yes we done that.

First stop, 故宫(National Palace Museum).
Lobby of National Palace Meseum
You can easily reach this place by taking railway - station National Palace.
