Pork Satay with peanut sauce
Beef Satay, Chicken Satay, Mutton Satay or even Ostrich Satay can be easily found in KL. But what about Pork Satay? In Melaka Pork Satay can be found almost anywhere. Perfectly cooked pork, with the optimal portion of meat and fat so the texture won't be dry. Take it with the special sauce from Melaka, which is their peanut sauce with pineapple.
Traditionally sweet and spicy peanut sauce now add in a sour pineapple flavour on it make the overall experience a unique from what we had. A good snack in the evening or supper in Melaka.

Home-made Nyonya Cuisine
Melaka is famous for its history of Baba and Nyonya, which is the mix marriage and culture of Malay and Chinese in Malaysia. Therefore fusion food of Malay and Chinese Cuisine are born here in the township of Melaka.
Resturant Aunty Lee is a local recommendation by a friend of mine which serve the highest quality of Baba and Nyonya Cuisine. Due to the limited space of their restaurant, do call and make a reservation for a table before your visit as it will be always fully booked.
Chili Petai, Duck Meat, Eggs, Fish, you name it and they cook it perfectly in Nyonya style.

6. Naan and Tandoori Chicken

Naan and Tandoori Chicken
Not sure why this make it into the list as this is not a tradition from Melaka, but boy o boy the Naan and Tandoori Chicken here is superb. The best I've had ever from fine dinning in KL, to traditional mamak.
Offers variety of Naan from cheese, to pizza, to garlic, served along with juicy perfectly cooked Tandoori Chicken and 3 different sauce. The star of this would be the chicken, juicy tender chicken, served with chewy Naan with 3 different sauce is the best experience I've had for this.
Be there early as it sold out relatively fast.
