Tai Lei Loi Kei 大利来记 @ Kepong Usahawan

Macau Pork Bun(澳门猪扒包)@ Kepong

Tai Lei Loi Kei is an Fast Food Chain located originally in Hong Kong - Macau. Recently Macau is celebrating 10 years anniversary of their independence back to Hong Kong, China, the famous Macau Pork Bun has been a hype since then as their signature food to celebrate this historical day.

As a fast food chain, this is not fast at all. We arrive at 8.00pm and placed our order. We wanted to try the Pork Bun so badly, we ordered two Signature Pork Chop Bun & Drink @ Rm13.90. I was happily waiting beside the order line to collect our food, however when I realised my order number is 40+ customer behind this number as shown.

They do offer variety of choices such as chicken wings, rice, meat balls and etc. Even dessert @ Rm5 each cup.

As I have tried the original Macau Pork Bun, my expectation was high and looking forward to recall the taste and memories.

30 minutes is all we have waited for our turn, despite the wait, it was quite fast serving with the crowd presence.
Signature Pork Chop Bun & Drinks @ Rm13.90
According to my knowledge and their claim, they only use Rib Chop for all their pork chop.

Disappoint-ly to say, the meal isn't pleasing. The bun is hard and oily, I had to use a pair of fork and knife to eat. The pork chop is tasteless and dry. May be their intention is for us to taste the original flavour of the pork chop, but all I taste is just oil and butter on the bun and dry pork chop. As compared to the original Macau Pork Bun in Macau, their's way more juicy and less oily with a soft bun.

I do recommend eat with the paper warp that come along with it, so you can grab the bun and bite. I'm the genius who throw away the warp, and totally have no idea how to eat it. Hint : Fork, Spoon and Knife is provided.

However, their Milk Tea(奶茶)is surprising good. Very Hong Kong like, hardly find it in KL.
Is crowded even is pass 9. People just swarming in to try a bite of the infamous Macau Pork Bun.
Spaciously Full
Great business in Malaysia as we don't get to eat much that has pork in it, needless to say it is a fast food. I might not like it because of personal preferences, but for people who eager to try out the Macau Pork Bun, this should be the place. They have many outlets despite just 2 months of business.

Recommend for those who never tried a Macau Pork Bun before. As for coming back, I think I'll pass.
